These 2" ratchet straps are a trusted staple in the transportation industry, providing strength, versatility, and ease of use. The polyester webbing is rugged enough for demanding loads yet soft enough to help protect your cargo. With very little stretch, plus built-in resistance to UV rays and water, these straps are made to perform trip after trip. The ratcheting mechanism makes it simple to achieve the right amount of tension—something cam straps just can’t match. They’re the perfect balance between lightweight 1" straps and heavy-duty 4" straps.
These 2" tie down straps are built with a longer fixed end than most standard straps, which positions the ratchet further from the anchor point for easier operation. A sewn loop next to the ratchet offers a convenient way to secure excess webbing—just wrap it up and tuck it in for a cleaner, safer setup.
The webbing is woven with slightly thicker yarn and more picks per inch than many competitors. Each strap end is heat-sealed to prevent fraying. These features provide better resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting, giving you longer service life under heavy use.
The zinc-coated ratchet assembly features a long, wide handle with a smooth grip, giving you more leverage and comfort when tensioning the strap.
The 2" forged triangle D-rings provide excellent flexibility, working with nearly all hook types to give you more options when making secure connections. Each D-ring is zinc-plated for added corrosion resistance, ensuring dependable performance in all conditions.
All of US Cargo Control's ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.
Learn more about proper load handling and securement in the WSTDA safety bulletins.
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
