Best Practices for Flushing

1. Check Your Manual: Most modern outboards (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki) have a dedicated flush port. Ensure you know whether your manufacturer recommends flushing with the engine running or engine off.

2. Water Pressure: Ensure your dockside water pressure is fully turned on. Since the SM-FM2005 splits the flow, you need a strong source to provide enough volume for two engines.

3. Visual Confirmation: Always check that water is "peeing" out of the tell-tale or exiting the exhaust on both engines to confirm that the manifold is delivering water equally.
