• Complete the System: Remember that the SmartPlug inlet only works with a SmartPlug power cord. If you currently have a standard twist-lock cord, you will need to purchase the SmartPlug 30A Connector (BF30) to retrofit your existing cable.

• Terminal Tightness: When wiring the back of the inlet, ensure the terminal screws are torqued tightly. Use a high-quality wire stripper to avoid nicking the copper strands, as a damaged strand can cause resistance and heat.

• No Twisting Required: The biggest habit to break is "twisting." Simply push the plug straight into the inlet until the side clips click into place.
