Water Meter Adapters

To Downsize a 1" Water Meter to a 5/8" x 3/4" meter or 3/4" short (7.5") meter

To maximize revenue and meter accuracy, you should always use the smallest size meter that will handle the flow rates required of the building tenant. These adapters allow easy downsizing of meters without re-plumbing the meter setting.

For installing a 5/8" x 3/4" or a 3/4" short (7.5" lay length) into a full 1" meter setting. Upsizes thread diameter on both ends from 3/4" to 1" AWWA meter Threads,  Two adapters required per setting (sold only as a pair). 

A. Allows Downsizing an existing 10-3/4" lay length 1" meter to a new 5/8" x 3/4" meter extended with this adapter set. Changes a 5/8" x 3/4" meter with 7.5" lay length to 10-3/4" lay length with 1" male meter threads.

B. Allows Downsizing an existing 10-3/4" lay length 1" meter to a new 3/4" Short Body 7.5" length meter extended with this adapter set. Changes a 3/4" Short meter with 7.5" lay length to 10-3/4" lay length and 1" meter threads.

Lead-Free Brass

• One end has 1" AWWA Male Meter Threads
• One end has 3/4" AWWA Female Meter Threads
• Extends meter length from 7.5" to 10-3/4"
• Extends 7.5" long meter to 9" long without change of thread size
• Two Required per meter, Sold as a pair

To Use:

• Remove Old 1" Meter
• Install New Meter - 5/8" x 3/4" meter (or 3/4" Short meter) with an adapter installed on both ends. Use 1" meter gaskets for setter.
• No change necessary to meter setter or plumbing.
