Two tui, flying together, facing the same direction. Not one leading, not one following, just two, choosing each other, moving forward as one. This print is about that kind of love, partnership, the loyalty, the decision to keep showing up side by side. To share the hopes and the dreams and wherever the path leads. For a wedding, an anniversary, or for the person you want to remind 'I choose you, every day.' Inspired by the waiata 'Kaua e Whai Mai' by Rawiri Henare with te reo Māori translation by Katerina Mataira.

Amber Smith is a ceramic artist and printmaker who honours her connection to Ngāti Wai through her child. Inspired by the natural beauty of Aotearoa, especially our native birdlife, her work celebrates te ao Māori and seeks to foster connection, understanding, and respect. Often drawing on whakataukī (proverbs) and waiata (songs), Amber combines te Reo Māori and English to create uplifting works that carry messages of love, hope, and self worth, creating meaningful pieces to gift yourself or someone special.
