There's always room for another bird in the flock, I'd say--this a lovely late 19th c. watercolor rendering of a purple finch, done after Audubon I believe. With a wonderful richness of color and variety of patterns forming the finch's  feathers, and sweetly pinecone dotted branch.

6 1/2 x 6 3/4 and in good condition, watercolor on heavyweight paper, with faint ink writing along bottom, looks like the name and address of the maker, but hard to fully read  Flag to lower left corner and minor stain along bottom edge left.
