Amlou – Roasted Almond Spread with Argan Oil & Honey by Safeya

A beloved specialty of Morocco’s Amazigh community, Amlou is a traditional spread made from roasted almonds, argan oil, and honey. It's generally smooth, nutty and slightly sweet from the honey. 

Traditionally served at breakfast or alongside tea, Amlou is perfect spread on fresh bread or toast, drizzled over baghrir (Moroccan pancakes) or msemen (Moroccan skillet breads).  The distinctive flavor of argan oil is a key component of this spread. Many can’t resist eating it straight from the spoon!
