The Vivreau Purity C1100 XtraSafe Filter cartridge delivers targeted protection against the chlorides, sulphates and gypsum found in water in certain regions. It employs an effective five-step filtration process, including dual ion exchangers, to reliably improve your water. XtraSafe removes coarse particles, removes chlorides and sulfates, removes temporary hardness that results in scale, reduces chlorine, improves taste and improves odor. XtraSafe is a great choice for chloride removal when chloride levels are under 250 Parts Per Million.

necessitate earlier replacement of parts.

What’s more, the recommended filtration bypass settings help ensure the ideal water composition – including just the right degree of carbonate hardness – for great-tasting coffee, perfectly steamed vegetables, meat and other dishes, plus irresistible baked goods and pastries.

Systematic filter technology:

1. Pre-filtration
   First, a pre-filter traps coarse particles.
2. Cation reduction
   This stage reduces carbonate and permanent hardness, as well as various cations. This helps prevent limescale.
3. Anion reduction
   This medium removes remaining ions (anions), such as chlorides and sulphates, to reduce the risk of corrosion and gypsum deposits.
4. Activated carbon
   The water is then filtered with activated carbon, removing substances that could have an adverse effect on taste and aroma.
5. Fine filtration
   At the end of the filtration process, a fleece
   captures any fine particles
