About the Author:
Yoshie Matsumoto graduated from Doshisha University (English Literature). Earned a master’s degree in Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Colorado. After passing the national interpreter‑guide exam, she has worked as a professional guide for over 30 years, assisting tens of thousands of visitors from around the world. As chairperson of the Japan Federation of Certified Guides (JFG), she also trains new national interpreter‑guide license holders. Her publications include Introducing Japan in English, Guiding Japan in English, and Japan Introduction Handbook in English.
