About Bamileke Fabric:

This item incorporates "Ndop," an indigo-dyed fabric from the Bamileke tribe in western Cameroon, Central Africa. Used in ceremonies and harvest festivals, it serves as a backdrop for thrones and as wraps for royal wives and attendants. The fabric is handwoven into wide pieces from narrow strips and then indigo-dyed. Men's designs are stitched by women with raffia fibers before dyeing, featuring motifs representing royal chambers, temples, farmland, and animals.
