Will this work with my current exhaust system?

This header connects to the factory manifold mounting points. You'll need to verify your downstream exhaust (mid-pipe, cat-back) will accept the header outlet without modification or adapter fitment.

Does this need to be painted or coated?

Bare stainless steel will oxidize slightly over time but won't rust. If you want a finished look, high-temp coating or paint can be applied after cleaning — test on a small area first to ensure adhesion.
