Omi-sarashi is a traditional finishing technique from Ōmi in Shiga Prefecture, where the fabric is kneaded with wood ash to create volume and body. Unmercerized, the fabric retains a dry hand that enhances its natural character. The garment is sulfur-dyed, giving it a vintage-inspired finish with tonal variation and a gently worn-in look unique to this dyeing process.
