A fitted womens t-shirt featuring reggae band - Steel Pulse.
Hailing from Birmingham UK, Steel Pulse were a roots reggae band who had formed in 1975. They were signed to Dip, a small independent record label. Initially refused live bookings in Birmingham’s Caribbean venues on account of their Rastafarian beliefs, they found themselves aligning with the more progressive elements of the Punk scene. They played at Rock Against Racism’s first festival, & toured with bands such as The Stranglers & XTC. They eventually found an opening as guests of the successful band Burning Spear. This brought them to the attention of Island Records who soon signed them.
Their first release for Island was the iconic ‘Ku Klux Klan’ & from this they forged a consistent & successful career throughout the explosion of the UK New Wave & Two-tone Ska- Revival movements, to the present. Now signed to MCA Records, they continue to tour & have a studio album & DVD featuring a documentary due for release in 2013.
